- Cascading Style Sheets; CSS
- a file containing a set of properties that describe how a document should be presented on the Web
- Content
- the text, graphics, video, and sound that make up a web page
- Custom Error Page; 404 Page
- user-friendly web page replacing the default error messages generated by the web server; in English, 404 errors translate to "Page Not Found"
- Domain Name
- A unique name on the Internet. The name is then tied to an IP address where the physical website resides.
- Domain Name Service; DNS
- an Internet service that translates domain names into IP addresses
- Dynamic Webpage
- an interactive webpage; a programming technique enabling the content and/or layout to changed based on user action
- Email Forwarding
- an email service which redirects your email from one email address to another email address
- Flash
- animation software from Macromedia used to develop interactive graphics for web sites
- Hosting
- a service where a web server is a repository of one or more websites; the act of storing one or more files on a server
- Homepage
- the first page, which is usually a welcoming or organizing page, on a website
- HTML
- a language in which web pages are written
- Internet
- A collection of networks. A global web connecting more than one million computers.
- Internet Address; IP Address
- a unique number consisting of 4 parts separated by dots (eg. 165.113.245.2); every machine on the Internet has a unique IP address
- JavaScript
- a scripting language that allows the creation of dynamic content on web pages
- Layout
- the overall design of a web page, including fonts, headlines, and graphics
- PHP
- a server-side scripting language for creating dynamic web pages
- Pop Email
- a standard protocol for receiving e-mail compatible with most e-mail products.
- Search Engine Optimization; SEO
- techniques that enable your site to appear higher in a list of search engine results
- Static Webpage
- a page on a website, the content of which does not change

- A computer network consisting of a collection of internet sites that offer text, graphics, sound and animation using the HTTP (hypertext transfer protocol)
