Our team members have participated in a variety of projects as members of Llamawerx and with previous companies.
Various information and telecommunication system integration projects targeting airports worldwide.
Supported several airport integration projects. Support included rapid prototyping, demonstrations, and proposals; using network management systems, SNMP, and Oracle.
Created a custom front-end for the CIEFFE Spectiva digital video management system using JavaScript.
Distributed flight information display system for the airport terminal market.
Provided system engineering and productization support for the development team using Linux, Solaris, Oracle and X-Windows.
A web portal supporting over 600 members of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians.
Redesigned the public website for the NJSOP implementing techniques standardizing the look and feel of the site.
Refined architecture standards for a multi-tier, virtualized, IT infrastructure. Surveyed and collected detailed information from application owners; vetted information; mapped applications, data and resources into the new architecture. Prepared architectural blueprints for individual applications.
Project management and integration of online applications for a railcar leasing, shipping and logistics operation.
Using PHP and MySQL, created online applications to manage users, reports and car ordering. Integrated 3rd party shipping instructions; stored, parsed and presented EDI messages.
Cryotrax is a web-based inventory management application for the storage and retrieval of biological specimens using barcode technology; including secure login, extensive audit trails, and efficient utilization of freezer storage.
Provided both business analysis, systems analysis, design, proposal support, custom development and technical support. Architecture and design including: Java, servlets w/Apache Struts inside Tomcat, Swing-based interface delivered via Java WebStart, PostgreSQL database, LDAP and test-first development using JUnit.
Client-server based identity management suite of tools designed to allow law enforcement personnel computerized access and matching of demographic, mugshot and fingerprint data.
From concept to deployment, performed business analysis, system design, development, and installation of a 2-tier client-server system based on Microsoft Windows, Sun Solaris, Motif, Oracle, and Informix. Integrated video cameras, fingerprint scanners, and high-resolution flatbed scanners for data capture.
A commercial client-server human resource application suite used by many Fortune 100 companies for personnel hiring, development and performance monitoring.
Participated in the development of a C++, object-oriented, cross-platform development project for SCO Unix with an Informix database and Microsoft Windows with a Watcom SQL server.
Client-server based image repository and tools necessary for pre-press image manipulation and publication. Project lead to the migration from a proprietary multi-processor server to standard Sun Microsystems hardware and software.
Concept to market of an image database and related image manipulation toolset. Developed in C with an X-Windows interface; the toolset allowed the import, capture, editing, and output of images stored in an Informix database. To minimize risk, a proprietary TCP/IP interface to the pre-press system was developed allowing customers to migrate their server hardware independently of the client applications.
An object-oriented archival system for pre-press publishing components.
Analysis, domain experience, object-oriented design and implementation for a C++ pilot project interfacing to an HP optical jukebox. The project made extensive use of custom developed class libraries hiding the database and optical jukebox components. A distributed architecture allowed the X-Windows user interface to communicate with the back-end services.
An innovative filesystem with backwardly compatiblity for a proprietary publishing system; support for SCSI devices.
Implementation in C and assembly language of various filesystem algorithms and supporting utilities including: file system check/repair, media analyzer, disk editor, file/disk copy, and tape backup/restore.
Various projects integrating Wavecom Q24, Q26 and Fastrack wireless GSM modules.
Design and development in C using Wavecom’s OpenAT software suite.
Object-oriented protocol converter for interworking between GSM base station controller and radio base station.
Analysis, design, and implementation using: C++, STL, Linux desktop and VxWorks environments. Also utilized Extreme Programming techniques, test-first development using CppUnit and custom system test simulator.
Large scale development project for an indoor wireless communications system targeted to enterprises. Distributed architecture with plug-n-play of devices. Product deployed to over 100 customers including several Fortune 100 companies throughout the Americas.
Members of Llamawerx were critical architecture designers, project planners, and key implementors. Object-oriented design using UML and Design Patterns, C/C++, and embedded VxWorks environment. Complex distributed management, call processing, and automatic frequency management; deeply embedded, field-upgradeable radio devices.
Web-based operations and maintenance program supporting the Indoor Wireless Office System. Allows user-friendly online configuration of the product using SNMP.
Performed business analysis, customer interviews, system design, and development. Agile development using Java, JSP/servlets, and several Apache packages including Tomcat, Struts, Ant, and regexp. Unit and regression test support using JUnit.
Multiple projects developing TDMA basestation subsystems. These projects were highly embedded with code-size and memory constraints. “Home-grown” operating systems were developed for some of these projects.
Design was done with an “object” approach, implementation in C and assembly, and creation of board-level and unit-level test code.
Multi-user cellular trunking system supporting voice, fax and data. Integrated PBX and cellular technology; interworking between ISDN and TDMA call processing models.
Functional design and embedded implementation in C. Operations, maintenance and provisioning graphical user interface implemented in C++.
Web application allowing users to track the location of people or devices. Custom development for the European market.
Business analysis, proposal support, technical support, and use case definition. Design using Java, JSP/servlets, Apache Tomcat, relational database, and interfaces to a modem pool and separate billing system.
