MORRISVILLE, NC - February 9, 2004 - Llamawerx, a proven provider of custom software, has released Version 1.0 of Cryotrax; an application for the inventory and process control of biological samples.
Since the award of the contract in September, 2003, the Llamawerx team has been diligently working together with CryoGene to develop a streamlined workflow process to minimize errors in the storage and retrieval of biological specimens. According to Marshall Griswold, CEO of CryoGene, “It is crucial to our business to know where, when and who was involved in the storage and retrieval of the biological specimens. Cryotrax gives us the ability to give our customers a high degree of confidence that their data is exactly where it is supposed to be. Llamawerx has worked closely with us to ensure that our ever changing requirements are fulfilled.”
Judy Gerard, President of Llamawerx, is elated by the release. “We’re happy to get this release out. We want to see the product in action and see CryoGene get the return on their investment. The Llamawerx team has worked hard to get the process nailed down and put together a system that will help CryoGene succeed,” said Gerard.
Cryotrax is built with a combination of Linux, open source tools, and the Java development environment.
